Grand Marais Michigan Trip

I just got home from a week long trip in Grand Marais, MI

I could not resist taking pics of the cute houses

This little town is right on Lake Superior

So I collected a lot of rocks for my garden

The first four pics and the last one are of my favorite house

Look at all the ecclectic art in their yard

We have been busy at the homestead screening our backporch

"What Have I Been Up To" Thursday!

I made a new sign for our yard and I painted the hook for it bright red!

I have been nursing my ivy back to health from the cold winter.

I also planted some pretty red flowers in the pot by my front door

Soccer games, job hunting, housework and the day to day busy stuff

has kept me going nonstop!

I found this cute coffee cup planter at Ross.

I spray painted it purple and added a cute flower pot of

Gerbera Daisies 

Here is my early Mother's Day gift

red umbrella because red is my favorite

color!

Remember my herb table,

well, I bought this cute table cloth type material at

Wal-Mart

It comes on a big roll in the fabric section

protects my table top and it is

Happy Looking!

And you know how important is to have bright happy things around!

Color Around My House

I made a new pillow for my swing. 

 It has poppies on it. I planted some poppies in the backyard, too.

O'K, I admit it I painted my blue wicker chair, again!

This time red. I made a cherry pillow awhile back that I showed you.

It really wanted to be on a red chair with a bright yellow cushion

;-)

My Gerbera Daisies are looking good I planted some in the yard, also.

Remember, it is my favorite flower!

I love color on my patio.

Finally, found some bright cushions for my chairs.

Things are really getting green, now.

I Made A Chalk Board

I made this chalk board frame from some old saloon doors I use to have in my kitchen.

Painted it my favorite blue and distressed it.

Thought some cherries at the top would be cute

now, to order some chalk ink markers in bright fun colors!

I found this cute fabric and made a pillow for my backporch

It is sooo hard to find fabric with simple cherries on it.

Oh yea, did I mention

I Love stuff with cherries on it!

Table Herb Garden

See my table with the green doors?

 I found it at the Goodwill.

I painted it white and then painted the doors green.

The pots on top are all filled with herb seeds

basil, parsley,dill...

I love using herbs in the summer
